Bridgeland Residents: Cy-Fair Request for Crossing Guard Volunteers

July 31, 2024 2:43 pm

In an effort to reduce transportation costs, Cy-Fair Independent School District (CFISD) has adjusted their transportation policies to require attending children who reside within a two-mile (2) radius of their school to walk to school rather than be picked up by buses.

More information can be provided in the CFISD Transportation Services 2024-2025 FAQ. A summary of the Transportation Plan and a breakdown of the fiscal changes can be found here on the CFISD website.

In a partnership with the Precinct 5 Constable’s Office, the Bridgeland Water Agency, Harris County MUDs 419 and 489, CFISD is asking concerned and interested residents to sign up to be crossing guards during the 2024-2025 school year. Residents have until Friday, August 2, 2024 to sign up as training is scheduled for August 9, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. in Pope Elementary, located at 19019 N. Bridgeland Lake Pkwy., Cypress TX 77433.

Pre-registration is required, so we are asking residents to sign up via the form below to be volunteers as quickly as possible, given the August 2 deadline. Crossing guards who are trained for this program can work near any of the Bridgeland-located CFISD schools.
